Cabin Fever and Cobwebs

Happy New Year!

I don't know about you, but this vile, wet weather had left us all with cabin fever. We were desperate for fresh air, sunshine and a change of scenery. I have been a frantic weather checker for days, and I was really disappointed that the ever traditional New Year's Day walk couldn't happen because it mostly looked like this through the window...

So, when the Met Office promised sunshine, we were ready. We packed wet wipes and our festive cobwebs and set out to play and get mucky. And that we did. With the occasional hand wipe. E just seemed to relish being outside and ran around beaming and squealing. There's definitely an outdoorsy in her!

It felt good.

I finally got to play with my new lens which has been twitching in my camera bag for a proper outing. I've got some learning to do, but I love love love it's flexibility.

Here's what our belated-NYD-cobweb-blowout looked like.

    1. Thanks Annie - I find it hard to find colour in the winter sometimes, so I'm really pleased with these. Your kids seem to love the outdoors, and you have so much to explore down in the forest, I'm always a smidge envious!

    1. Cold doesn't bother me really, there's always a hat or another jumper, but wet is something I'm still coming to terms with!
